Mohammed Merah? Can't Blame Conservatives And Heaven Forbid Talk About Radical Islam

In response to the Norwegian massacre perpetrated last year by Anders Behring Breivik, the media focused our attention on the conservative media which was quoted by Breivik--blaming conservative writers and pundits for creating and fostering his worldview and for the murders themselves.

Don't expect to see that when it comes to the murders by Mohammed Merah of French soldiers and Jews.

The politically correct theme to take in these murders was already established yesterday that Islam was not to be held in any way responsible for the terrorism:

Merah's psychological profiling suggested that he has a history of violence and that he has been suffering from mental illness since his youth, [French Prosecutor Francois] Molins added.
Conservative writers who never advocated violence were blamed for Breiviks attacks, but when it comes to Merah, mental illness is not the only scapegoat as long as we Don't blame Islam for the Toulouse killings:
Many people kill in the name of jihad but they do not represent Islam or Muslims, the vast majority of whom will be horrified by the Toulouse killings. It is not religion that turns some young Muslim men in the West violent, but the sense of alienation and frustration that inevitably comes from being a second-generation immigrant. Confused and angry young men easily attach themselves to something greater than themselves, especially a strong, confident inter-national identity historically opposed to the West from which they feel so rejected.
Ah yes, this of course recalls images of the Lower East Side, which became a hotbed of hatred, violence and terrorism among Jews.

Which reminds me of the West Side, as in the musical West Side Story:
DIESEL: (As Judge) Right!

Officer Krupke, you're really a square;
This boy don't need a judge, he needs an analyst's care!
It's just his neurosis that oughta be curbed.
He's psychologic'ly disturbed!

ACTION
I'm disturbed!

JETS
We're disturbed, we're disturbed,
We're the most disturbed,
Like we're psychologic'ly disturbed.

DIESEL: (Spoken, as Judge) In the opinion on this court, this child is depraved on account he ain't had a normal home.

ACTION: (Spoken) Hey, I'm depraved on account I'm deprived.
"Gee, Officer Krupke"
Sometimes, depraved actions can be traced not to what one is deprived off, but to the ideology one feeds off of.

And the failure of the West to realize that is one reason for the continued acceptance and fostering of Palestinian terrorism.
